Winter construction has benefits and drawbacks [VIDEO]

If the recent record snowfall in Buffalo was any indication, winter is nearly upon us. Many people assume that winter means the end of construction. But contractors are hoping that a mild winter will mean work can continue all year round.

Winter is not without its drawbacks. The cold weather makes it difficult to operate power tools and sites require greater construction safety products. Plus, materials like cement take longer to set. However, these projects are far from impossible and benefit all those involved. Employees have more work, clients have the chance to finish a project before the summer and firms enjoy more business.
