Winter storms have hit the northeast for three straight weeks, dumping several feet of snow on parts of southern New England. While construction might be difficult, some crews are still hard at work – not to mention plows and other public services. When winter weather strikes, it’s important that these workers stay safe and warm.
It starts with the right gear. Winter construction safety equipment should be durable and insulated. That includes gloves, boots and even masks for the severe cold.
Contractors are also responsible for ensuring their workers use caution and are supplied with the best power tools for the job. It’s on those managers to create a culture of safety in the workplace.
