With a skilled labor shortage, contractors and construction firms have encountered some frustration. But the cavalry is on the way, as high schools and colleges strengthen their construction education programs.
One Wisconsin high school introduced several advanced construction classes that teach proper safety etiquette and how to work with power tools and other equipment. Additionally, students are taught how to conduct themselves and impress possible employers.
Meanwhile, the University of Texas at San Antonio has a new lab that allows students to use the latest in construction and architectural design programs. Industry leaders use the very same software, so these students will have an advantage when they enter the workforce.
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for more construction new from K.L. Jack & Company.
