High-profile construction projects are completed under the close eye of the public, which is why it's particularly important that they involve the use of the best construction tools and safety equipment on the market. One such project is underway in Sacramento, as construction has finally begun of the long-awaited new Sacramento Kings arena.
The Sacramento Bee reported that years after Sacramento set out to build the Kings a new arena, the $477 million project is now starting to take shape and will be open by October 2016. However, that's not to say construction is happening without controversy.
Two citizens groups have filed lawsuits to stall the project under the California Environmental Quality Act. Despite this, Mayor Kevin Johnson told the news source that no one would be keeping the project from moving forward any longer.
