They say it’s the most wonderful time of the year – but not when you get snowed in. With winter and the holidays upon us, it’s important to prepare your home for the season’s worst.
Snow and ice storms can cause power outages and dangerous falling tree limbs, so it is crucial to take the necessary precautions. Remove any overhanging branches that could fall on your house and notify the town of power lines that might be in the way of dangling tree limbs. Make sure your home is well-heated and insulated and stock up on supplies like flashlights, bottled water, canned food and blankets.
With adequate preparation, you can be ready for anything the winter throws your way.
